My word: Communication
Life experience has taught me, and sometimes the hard way, that communicating effectively is a learned and practiced skill. Through my work with Christine Miles, I realized that listening is the most important part of effective communication, and that the majority of us are not taught how to listen. I wish it hadn’t taken me so many years to realize that I wasn’t always a great communicator. That’s why I’m excited to be a part of The Listening Path team and teach children the importance of Listening to Understand.
Expertise:
Jenna had over a decade of experience in product marketing at Fortune 500 companies before branching out on her own as a small business owner. She has moved around the country with her family and recently settled in Philadelphia, where she met Christine Miles and joined The Listening Path movement. The importance of Listening to Understand in schools took on a whole new meaning after the diagnosis of her dyslexic son and finding the best school for him. Jenna’s son taught her that every child learns and listens differently, which is why she’s excited for schools to discover The Listening Path and provide children the opportunity to develop important listening skills early on.
